On June 4, Tweetbot 2 for Mac finally arrived, bringing with it plenty of new features and a brand new redesign that fosters in plenty of Yosemite-based aesthetics.
Tweetbot is one of the most popular Twitter clients out there, and its feature and design upgrade for the Mac was a longtime coming for fans of the app. And now, with the latest update, which bumps the version up to 2.0.1, there’s an additional feature being added to the mix.
The new “Quote Tweet” feature is now included, for starters. And for those that plan on using Twitter as a full-fledged messaging platform in the near future, Tweetbot 2 for Mac also includes support for longer Direct Messages, once Twitter finally activates the feature on their end.The app’s update also includes plenty of bug fixes, which includes a fix for a particular instance where some users were experiencing the app crashing when starting a new mention.
