Apple has released another beta for the company’s upcoming desktop software, OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to developers.
On Monday, November 30, Apple seeded the fifth beta (build: 15C48a) for OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to developers. With this release, it comes two weeks after the fourth release, and over a month since the first beta was released.
The new beta is available through the Mac App Store and the Update tab on machines already running the beta software, or through a direct download via Apple’s Developer Center.
The pre-release software is also available to those within the Public Beta testing program.
As far as what’s new, it’s not known at this point. The update will likely keep the focus on behind-the-scenes tweaks, including performance enhancements, a focus on security, and other tweaks to improve the overall experience.
Apple has expressed for developers to focus on a variety of things, though, including Wi-Fi, networking, USB, Notes, Spotlight, Photos, Graphics, Networking, and Mail.
With the release of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 in October, Apple brought a slate of new emoji to users, along with plenty of fixes to the software that saw Microsoft’s Office suite of apps finally supported by the updated platform, as well as fixes for Apple’s stock Mail app.
