When you receive a notification while your iPhone is locked, it is shown on the Lock screen along with other pending notifications that you’ve received. However, if you unlock your device and lock it again, all the notifications will be dismissed automatically and there’s no way to prevent it. ForeverNotification is a new jailbreak tweak that lets you get rid of this annoyance.
The tweak keeps notifications permanently on your iPhone Lock screen even after you unlock and lock it again. The only way they can be dismissed is by manually swiping an individual notification to the left and tapping on the X button. Those that haven’t been dismissed will remain on the Lock screen.
The main reason the developer created this tweak is because of the upgraded Touch ID sensor of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus which makes it more responsive. When users press the Home button to view the pending notifications on the Lock screen, it sometimes causes the device to be unlocked even before the users can see them. Therefore, the tweak aims to prevent this problem by keeping the notifications visible.
Once installed, ForeverNotification doesn’t require any additional configuration. When you receive a notification, simply unlock your iPhone and lock it again and you will notice that the notification is still visible on the Lock screen.
ForeverNotification is a great way of preventing your Lock screen notifications from getting cleared after unlocking your iPhone. The only issue with the tweak is that it can be a daunting task to dismiss each notification individually, so it would have been better if the developer provided a feature for quickly clearing all Lock screen notifications at once.
If you’re interested to give this tweak a try, it is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Make sure to let us know what you think about the tweak in the comments section.
