Report reaffirms new Apple TV will focus on games

Apple TV
Corroborating previous reports of the upcoming Apple TV focusing on games, the NY Times has published a new report that claims games will be a “primary selling point” for the upcoming device.
The information was provided to the publication by certain people who were briefed about the upcoming Apple TV directly from the company.
Apple TV has primarily been used as a device to stream music and movies to your TV, and was long considered a hobbyist product inside Apple. However, with the fourth generation Apple TV — rumored to be unveiled on Sept. 9 — Apple will giving the device its biggest upgrade yet and try turning it into a game console for casual gamers.
iPhone and iPad already offers a great gaming experience that has led to an increase in casual gamers. With Apple pushing the performance boundaries with every new release of the iPhone and iPad, the gameplay and visual quality of casual games have also gone up over the years. While they still cannot match consoles in terms of graphics quality, they still offer an enjoyable experience for casual gamers.
The new Apple TV is rumored to come with an A8 chip, a motion controlled remote that will also act as a game controller,Siri integration, and its own dedicated App Store.
