Facebook adds support for 3D Touch quick actions

Facebook 3D Touch
On Monday, October 12, Facebook updated its iOS app, and the primary new feature is meant specifically for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners.
As is par for the course for Facebook iOS updates, the social network giant didn’t actually include within the official changelog what it changed, but a quick check after the update confirms that the company has included 3D Touch support for the app, which should make doing a few things even faster than before.
With the inclusion of 3D Touch support, Facebook users can “Write Post,” which will bring the user into the Facebook app. Unfortunately you’ll still have to actually touch the “What’s on your mind” area to start typing, which makes this option essentially the same thing as simply tapping on the Facebook icon in the first place.
The other two options are much more helpful. That includes “Upload Photo/Video,” which will automatically launch your camera roll to upload the photo or video you want to share with family and friends as quickly as possible. The final option is “Take Photo/Video,” which will automatically launch the camera app within the Facebook app.
As far as what else the update includes, there’s no telling, as Facebook simply says they update the app frequently with speed improvements and tweaks, along with other tentpole features like 3D Touch support.
The new Facebook app, which is version 41.0, is now available. A link to it is available below.
