When it comes to the iOS App Switcher, there are a couple of well known tweaks such as Auxo 3 and Seng that provide an entirely new experience of interacting with it. If they don’t suffice your needs then you might want to check out an alternative jailbreak tweak known as Lylac that looks quite promising.
Lylac is a highly customizable tweak that fuses the App Switcher and Control Center into one allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds from a single place. In addition, it brings loads of new features for a better multitasking experience.
Multi-Center
Lylac merges the App Switcher and Control Center to let you access the functionality of both all from a single place. With a swipe up gesture or double-press of the Home button, you will view the new App Switcher interface which also provides access to toggles, Quick Launch apps and music playback controls.
When the App Switcher is invoked, you can access the music playback controls by swiping the Control Center interface from right to left.
3D Touch Gesture
Lylac comes packed with a new feature that is missing from most other App Switcher tweaks. It allows you to invoke the App Switcher on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus by pressing firmly on the right edge of the screen. Although it sounds interesting, it doesn’t yet work perfectly as advertised.
Swipe Gestures
With the tweak, you can swipe up the Home screen preview card in the App Switcher to kill all the apps in the background or swipe down any card to gain access to additional actions such as respring, reboot, safe mode etc.
Complete control over customization
One of the best things about Lylac is the ton of customization options that it provides. To top it off, the preferences pane looks very decent and well laid-out. From there, you can customize the style of the App Switcher, apply range of effects, whitelist apps and many more.
If you’re looking for a simple and decent tweak that is not bloated with useless features then Lylac is a solid choice for you. It does need some work to make it more smooth when invoking the App Switcher but other than this, it lives up to its promises.
