iOS has undergone a significant visual change in the recent years and one such change includes the dock on the Home screen which now features a blur background. If you were never fond of it, you should probably check out a new jailbreak tweak known as DockAlpha.
The tweak allows you to adjust the opacity of the Home screen dock and make it look more transparent. It also brings a new look and feel to your Home screen.
Once installed, you can get started by venturing into the tweak’s preferences pane available in Settings. The pane features only a single slider which lets you adjust the opacity level. The lower the value of the slider, the more transparent the Home screen dock will be.
Once you’re done making the changes, you’ll need to perform a respring for the new opacity effect to be applied to the dock. To reset your settings, all you have to do is to revert the slider back to the default value of 1.
If you’d like to get rid of the dock background or give it a more subtle look then DockAlpha is a solid tweak for you. It is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Sound off in the comments section below with your opinions on this tweak.
