Notification banners in iOS have a simple animation that slide in from the top of the screen and disappear by sliding out. AniBanner is a new jailbreak tweak that adds a new animation effect to your notification banners.
The tweak adds a pulsing animation to the banners that constantly fade in and out until they disappear by sliding out from the top of the screen. The banners also switch quickly between rounded and square corners.
AniBanner also provides a range of customization options that is available via its preferences pane in Settings. From there, you can enable or disable it via the kill-switch toggle, switch on or off the fade in and fade out animation and the animation of the banner corners.
You’ll find two sliders in the pane; one for adjusting the speed of the animation and the other for configuring the corner radius of notification banners. The tweak also offers an option to change the tint color of the banners.
Once you’re done with the personalization, you can also view a preview of the notification banner by tapping on the ‘Test Banner’ button available below the pane. No respring is required for the new changes to take effect.
If you find the stock animation of notification banners boring and would like to bring a new effect to them then this is a solid tweak for you. Keep in mind that AniBanners works with notification banners only and does not add a new animation to Lock screen banners.
You can purchase it for $0.99 on Cydia via the BigBoss repo. It currently supports iOS 8 – iOS 8.4 devices only. Personally, I found the animation quite distracting. Let me know what you think.
