Macio allows you to assign Activator actions to keyboard keys

macio-tweak
Macio is an interesting new jailbreak tweak by Cydia developer Skumar Space which integrates Activator with iOS keyboard allowing users to define keyboard shortcuts to perform specific actions.
The tweak lets you assign an Activator action to a specific key on the stock iOS keyboard, which gets invoked whenever you tap and hold on it. For instance, you can specify the ‘C’ key to open Control Center whereas the ‘N’ key could open Notification Center whenever you hold on it.
Once installed, you can get started by venturing into the tweak’s preferences pane available in Settings where you can assign Activator action to keyboard keys via the configuration section. Once you’ve added all the keyboard shortcuts, you’ll have to respring your device for the new changes to apply.

The pane also features a kill switch toggle to enable or disable it whenever you’d like as well as an option to remove the letter from the text field whenever you tap and hold on the corresponding key to perform an action.
Unfortunately, the tweak doesn’t work with third-party keyboards such as Etch (iTunes link) which has become one of my favorite keyboard recently. There are endless possibilities of keyboard shortcuts that you can set up with Macio. The only downside is that it works with the stock iOS keyboard but the developer has acknowledged it, and plans to add support for third-party keyboards as well.
Macio is quite an interesting tweak and you can grab it from Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $1.99. Let us know how do you plan to use Macio in the comments below.
