Report claims suppliers ramping up Force Touch module shipments for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus

Force Touch iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
A report from DigiTimes claims that touch panel suppliers of Apple have increased their shipments of the Force Touch module that will be used in the upcoming iPhones.
The suppliers had started shipping Force Touch modules to Apple in small quantities from June itself, but ramped up their production and supply from July.
Apple is expected to ship anywhere between 36 to 40 million units of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in the quarter it launches the handset, followed by another 50 million in the Septermber-December quarter. Thus, it makes sense for Apple’s suppliers to start supplying the company with key components in huge quantities from now itself.
One of the rumored Force Touch module suppliers for Apple, TPK, apparently announced recently that it will start the mass production of its Force Touch modules from July, though it did not specify the customer for the modules.
Nonetheless, multiple rumors and reports have claimed that Apple will be including Force Touch on the next-generation iPhones, which is likely going to be the case unless the company runs into some issues at the very last moment. Besides Force Touch, the next-generation iPhones are expected to come with a faster A9 chip, 2GB RAM, a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. They are also reported to make use of a new LTE modem from Qualcomm for theoretically faster download speeds.
