On Wednesday, October 7, Apple seeded the third beta for developers and public testers of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1.
With this release, it’s just a little over one week since the release of the second beta of Apple’s latest desktop software. Apple officially released OS X El Capitan to the public on September 30, so Apple is quickly bringing this updated version of the software through its beta steps.
This newest beta is available both to developers and public testers.
The new beta, which is build 15B30a, is available through all the standard channels: Either through the Update tab in the Mac App Store on a machine running the second beta, or via the Apple Developer Center.
This new beta will more than likely follow the trend of previous releases, meaning the fixes will probably be behind-the-scenes tweaks to better improve the overall experience. The first beta release for OS X 10.11.1, though, released a ton of new emoji and support for Unicode 8. That includes emoji like a unicorn head, the middle finger, taco, and a burrito.
