Apple officially released the new Apple TV on Friday, October 30, and now, just over a week later, the first public update has arrived for the set-top box.
On Monday, November 9, Apple officially released tvOS 9.0.1 for the new Apple TV. As is par for the course, the over the air (OTA) update can be installed via the Settings app. As far as what’s new in the public release, that remains to be seen.
While Apple has released tvOS 9.0.1 to the masses, the company is already focusing on the set-top box’s next software release, tvOS 9.1, which just recently had its first beta released to developers. That release already shows Siri support for some Apple Music functions.
If you have a new Apple TV, did you download the update yet?
