Just like it has done in the previous years, Apple has put up a Boxing Week sale on the iTunes Store for UK and Canadian users. The company is offering hefty discounts on selected albums available on the store through this sale.
Majority of the albums have seen their price drop to $6.99 from their usual price of $9.99, while a few have seen their price being reduced to $7.99. The sale on the UK iTunes Store does not carry the Boxing Week sale branding anywhere, but prices for some popular albums have been reduced to £4.99 and to even as low as £3.99.
Boxing Day is a public holiday celebrated on the first day after Christmas. It is widely followed in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand where they are even known as shopping holiday. Thus, to entice customers during this period, retailers offers hefty discounts that is similar to what happens in the United States during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Thanks to Christmas and iTunes Connect being shut down, developers over at the iOS App Store are also offering hefty discounts on popular apps and games.
