Pandora launches an app for the new Apple TV

Pandora-Internet-radio
Pandora, one of the most popular streaming music services out there right now, has just launched an app for one of Apple’s newest products.
On Wednesday, December 9, Pandora officially launched an app for the new Apple TV, running tvOS. With the app, as one might expect, Pandora users will be able to access their saved stations for easy playback, while also being able to manage and create new playlists to their heart’s content. Listeners will be able to access account options from the new tvOS app, too.
Pandora made it easy to do simple tasks, too, like liking or disliking a song, making sure that stations stay perfectly tuned even when you’re listening from the TV.
Pandora recently made some waves in the streaming music industry when it acquired Rdio, another popular service, for $75 million. With that acquisition, Pandora has plans to adopt the other service’s features into its own platform, which could mean even more direct competition for Apple Music at some point later in 2016. Considering Pandora’s already powerful subscriber base, the future seems bright for the service.
Pandora for Apple TV can be downloaded through the tvOS App Store on the set-top box.
