After integrating the Apple Online Store into its main website at Apple.com, Apple has now added Genius Bar and Workshop scheduling. The company’s “Concierge” service now sports a brand new look, and makes it easier to find Workshops by category.
Just as expected, Genius Bar appointments and Workshops can now be arranged via Apple.com, rather than a separate Apple website as before. The move is part of Apple’s plan to consolidate all of its retail services into one online portal.
The change also brings a new look to Apple’s scheduling system, with dedicated interfaces for mobile, tablet, and desktop users. There are also optimizations for users with visual or hearing impairments, reports 9to5Mac.
Finally, Apple has split its Workshops into different categories, including “Featured,” “Discover,” “Organize,” “Create,” and “Business.” It’s thought the categories will make it easier for customers to find the right Workshops for them.
Apple is also planning to make changes to its brick-and-mortar retail stores, with a revamp that will phase out iPad Smart Signs and shift iPods to accessory walls.
