Right now, there are parts of the “iPhone 6s,” Apple’s oft-rumored, yet still unofficial handset, out there in the wild. We’ve seen them, and leaks will probably keep on coming until September when the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus go official.
With those parts out there in the wild, it’s possible for some folks to get their hands on them, and that’s exactly what has reportedly happened here. According to a report published by MacRumors, and combined with a new video, we’re apparently seeing what is a combination of the iPhone 6s’s display and logic board, put together with a variety of iPhone 6 parts, including the battery and a rear shell.
The result is a device that can boot up to the gear screen, as seen in the image above. Once that’s done, the video goes on to show the individual parts that were enchased in the hybrid device. There are parts not included in the build, including the camera, but it’s obviously enough to boot up just enough.
Unfortunately what the video doesn’t show us is any support for the rumors that the iPhone 6s (and iPhone 6s Plus) will boast Force Touch support, which is Apple’s new feature to activate certain elements of the software depending on how hard the user presses on the screen.[via MacRumors]
