Does your iPhone or iPad feel slow or sluggish after updating to iOS 9?

iOS 9 seems to be a much stable update compared to iOS 8, but with every ‘magical’ iOS software update, it also comes with its own set of problems.
We have already reported several issues with the iOS 9 update such as the “Software Update Failed” error reported by several users immediately after iOS 9 was released and the iOS 9 OTA update getting stuck at “Update Requested”, which forced several users to use iTunes to update their device, and finally the iOS 9 update getting stuck at the “Slide to Upgrade” screen.
Based on comments from our readers in this post, and this thread on MacRumorsforum, a number of people are reporting that their devices are more sluggish after upgrading to iOS 9. Some users are reporting that iOS 9 is slower than iOS 8.
MacRumors forum member boltjameswrites:
iOS9 is noticeably slower than iOS8 and I’m not happy.
Laggate I didn’t need.
Another forum member vertsix has a similar experience:
Absolutely awful here on my 5s.
Lag everywhere. Control Center, scrolling through pages, opening apps, etc.
Battery life seems fine as of now.
I have:
• Rebooted twice
• Let it “index” for quite some time
• Disabled anything that could be causing lag GPU-wise (translucency, etc.)
• Tried a “fresh install”
Result: lag
So disappointed.
Personally, I haven’t noticed any major performance issues on my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2 after upgrading to iOS 9. In fact, as I had mentioned in my iOS 9 review, stock apps like Mail and Safari feel more responsive in iOS 9 probably because they are now able to use Metal, Apple’s low-level, low-overhead hardware-accelerated graphics API.
If you’ve just upgraded to iOS 9, then you should ideally give it a few hours or a day for indexing and to complete other background activities.
What has been your experience? Have you noticed sluggishness or performance issues after upgrading to iOS 9?
