Getting Maps on your Apple Watch hasn’t been impossible, thanks to Apple’s own app, but for those that prefer to use Google’s variation, the time has finally arrived.
Google updated its Maps app for iOS today, September 29, officially bumping up the version number to 4.11.0. With this update, which is pretty small, there are only a few additions. That includes an ability to easily compare estimated time of arrival across several different modes of transportation, including biking, walking, transit and driving. There’s a new List of Places that will let you immediately get directions or call an establishment, too.
Perhaps the biggest addition, though, for Watch owners is the fact that Google Maps will now let you get directions to somewhere right from the wrist-worn device.
There are also the traditional bug fixes, too.
Google Maps is a free download, and there’s a link below for anyone that doesn’t already have it installed.
