Apple News comes to the U.K. and Australia with iOS 9.1 [Update]

Apple News
Apple’s latest iOS 9.1 update, which rolled out to the public on Wednesday, brings the new Apple News platform to the U.K. for the first time. It comes with support from a long list of publishers, including major newspapers and magazines.
Some of those partners include The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Sun, The Times, The Financial Times, Daily Mirror, and many more. Apple has also teamed up with news outlets like Sky News and BBC News, and magazines like Top Gear, Vanity Fair, and Esquire.
Users will also be able to enjoy content from a whole host of international sources that have long been available to U.S. users — such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal — and websites like The Verge, Engadget, and Ars Technica.
Apple News provides iOS 9 users with a one-stop shop for stories from their favorite sources, and it hopes to replace other aggregation services like Flipboard and Zite on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
To enjoy Apple News in the U.K., you will need to update to Apple’s latest iOS 9.1 software. To find out more about it, check out our first look at Apple News from when it made its debut in the U.S. back in September.
UPDATE: Apple News is now available in Australia, too.
