On October 7, Apple updated its App Store support page to show that iOS 9, the company’s latest iteration of its mobile operating system, was installed on almost 60 percent of devices out in the wild.
Now, just over two weeks later, Apple’s updated the page again, and this time there’s a new milestone that Apple can check off. According to data populated from the iOS App Store during a period ending on October 19, 2015, iOS 9 is now installed on 61% of active devices accessing the digital storefront.
To compare that with iOS 8, it took that platform until late November, 2014, to reach the same benchmark.
Apple released iOS 9.1 yesterday, so it’s likely that there will be another boost by the time Apple updates its support page again.
Did you update to iOS 9.1?
