Apple is preparing to open its first retail store in Singapore next year. The store will replace the Pure Fitness gym located at Knightsbridge in Orchard road.
Details about Apple’s first retail store in Singapore are scarce, and the only thing known as of now is that the store will open sometime in 2016. The existing Pure Fitness gym will be shut down on December 15 so that Apple can start working on renovating it. Other tenants in the building will also relocate to make space for Apple’s first retail store in the country.
Orchard road in Singapore is known for being a shopping heaven, so it makes sense for Apple to open its first store in the country in this region. Other major brands that have a store in Orchard road include Tommy Hilfiger, TANGS and Brook Brothers.
Even though Singapore features among the launch countries for most of the major Apple products, it does not have any official Apple retail store. The company operates through resellers and carriers in the country.
