Apple expands Personal Pickup service to the United Kingdom

A couple of days after launching its Personal Pickup service in Australia and Canada, Apple has now expanded the service to the United Kingdom as well.
A report from earlier this month had indicated that Apple plans on launching Personal Pickup in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and France by the end of this year.
Apple had first launched its Personal Pickup service in 2011, but it was available only in the United States until earlier this month. Personal Pickup allows customers to order and pay for their products through Apple’s online store or the Apple Store app, and then simply pick it up by visiting their nearest retail Apple Store. They do need to show an ID proof for verification purpose, but otherwise, the whole process is seamless and hardly takes a few minutes.
Personal Pickup is an incredibly handy option to have on days like Black Friday or when a new Apple product launches, since Apple’s retail stores are filled with customers on such days.
