Apple Pencil gets its own stress test, can put up with a lot of abuse

Apple Pencil stress test

The Apple Pencil is a stylus that Apple has put a lot of thought into, and apparently that even goes all the way down to how the accessory fits into the iPad Pro while it’s charging.
Video blogger Zach Straley put together a stress test for Apple’s Pencil, the stylus that was built specifically (for now, hopefully) for the iPad Pro. While other ways of charging the stylus expected to arrive in the future, the only way to do it now is to plug it into the bottom of the iPad Pro. So, obviously there’d be a worry that, while the stylus was plugged in, breaking the accessory could be a possibility.
As shown in the video, it takes a lot of work to break the Pencil. While Straley is able to finally achieve the goal, it’s not an easy task at all. That’s apparently due to a hinge mechanism that Apple installed within the connector, which is designed to relieve the stress when the Pencil is plugged in.
You can check out the video below.
It’s good to see that even when the Pencil is plugged in, breaking it shouldn’t necessarily be the number one concern for owners. Especially considering the stylus isn’t the easiest accessory to find.
