In the land of carriers, getting subscribers to switch is a big deal. So that’s where promotions come in, to which Sprint is no stranger.
The Now Network has just unveiled a brand new promotion that will begin Friday, November 20. On that day, the carrier will begin cutting switchers’ rate plans in half. Specifically, a customer must switch from AT&T, Verizon Wireless, or T-Mobile and Sprint will cut their wireless rate plan by 50% until January 8, 2018.
One important note: Sprint is charging a $36 activation fee for each line that gets signed up during this promotion.
For those that are planning on switching, Sprint has another big carrot to dangle: up to $650 to cover the fees associated with switching over. Sprint will dole this out in the form of an American Express prepaid reward card. In order to earn the reward, you’ll need to switch over your phone number to Sprint, as well as trade in your old carrier’s device.
For those keeping track, this isn’t entirely all that new. Last year, almost right around this time in fact, Sprint launched a promotion that saw the carrier cut the bills of switchers in half. The big difference here is the rewards in switching, where Sprint only offered $350 last year to cover early termination fees, this $650 reward is pretty big.
