Are you tired of the same look that Notification Center sports since iOS 7? If yes, you should definitely check out an interesting new jailbreak tweak called NCCards that changes the way you interact with Notifications in iOS 9.
Inspired by Apple Watch notification, NCCards brings card-like previews to Notification Center in iOS 9 making the notifications appear as cards rather than a string of text. The tweak groups all notifications into separate cards based on the app that they belong to.
What’s more interesting is that the cards can also be collapsed to take less space. If you have more than one notification for an app, you can choose to either collapse the card or keep it expanded.
If you tap and hold on the top of a card, you’ll view an overlay with a button that allows you to clear all notifications at once. Unfortunately, the tap and hold gesture didn’t work out for me. You can also clear notifications individually by swiping them to the left and pressing the X button.
NCCards also provides a range of customization options that can be found in the tweak’s preferences pane in Settings. From there, you can change the background color and the text color of the card’s top bar, notification background and the bottom bar. Likewise, you can have the bottom bar change color based on the app’s predominant color.
NCCards is quite an interesting tweak and brings a major overhaul to the Notification Center. If you’re not fond of the default Notification Center interface then you might want to check out NCCards. The tweak is available for $2.99 on Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
