The iPad Pro has a lot of strong qualities going for it, and one of those is its artistic potential, thanks to its size and, of course, the Apple Pencil accessory.
But what can it do in the hands of someone that claims not to be a very good artist? Apparently quite a bit, especially with the help of renowned artist Bob Ross. The video below shows CNET‘s Ashley Esqueda using an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil to paint some happy little trees in a dark and misty forest, thanks to the help of Bob Ross and the app Procreate.
She’s doing exactly what the show was meant to do (even if PBS says that fewer than 10 percent of viewers back in the day actually painted along with Ross), and following the instructions to paint what Ross is painting on the TV — or computer this time around. The results are actually quite good, especially for someone that’s admittedly not an artist.
You can check out the video below, which clocks in just over two minutes. It’s certainly worthwhile.
