Move to iOS app
According to Apple’s website, the Android app will wirelessly sync content such as the “contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books.” The transfer will occur from the Android device to the iOS device with minimal user intervention.

As part of the process, Move to iOS will scan the apps on the Android smartphone and will prompt users to install the same apps on iOS. Paid apps with an iOS version also will be detected and added to user’s iOS App Store wish list. Apple claims this process will be conducted securely so a user’s sensitive information can not be exploited during the transfer.

There isn’t much information available about the ‘Move to iOS’ Android app except for the screenshot of the app running on HTC One M9. After the transfer of data is complete, the app also informs users that they can recycle their Android phone for free at any Apple Store.
It is not clear if there will be an equivalent app on the App Store, that will allow you to manage the data ported from Android. We expect to get a lot more information when the Move to iOS app is available on Google Play Store, and iOS 9 is released to the public. As the launch of iOS 9 and the debut of the next-generation iPhone draws near, we also expect to see Apple start to promote this tool to Android users who are interested in iOS, but are hesitant to switch. A one-click tool that’ll transfer all important data and apps may be enough to entice these fence-sitters to take the plunge.
Are you an Android user interested in switching? Or maybe you know an Android owner who could use this tool? Share your thoughts in the comments.
