For folks that plug in a new iPod into iTunes, a familiar sight will greet them: an iPod touch, nano and shuffle staring back at them. However, there’s a slight change one eagle-eyed user noticed.
According to a report published recently by MacRumors, and citing a reader’s tip, Apple has utilized composite images of the aforementioned portable music players, but with a slight alteration: new colors. Specifically, the iPod touch is rocking a slightly darker blue color than what’s currently available, and the shuffle, too, is equipped with a brighter shade of pink.
The iPod nano is painted either tan or beige (maybe gold?), a new color altogether for the music player. It’s been quite some time since Apple refreshed its color lineup, so it might be about time for the Cupertino-based company to refresh its iPod lineup. Unfortunately, while the devices are present when a user plugs in a new iPod into the newly-released iTunes 12.2, there’s no telling when, or even if, these refreshed colors will see the light of day.
What do you think of the new colors?
