A couple of days ago, a report from Hoodline indicated that Apple will likely be holding the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launch event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium next month. A “trusted source” of the publication has now confirmed that Apple will indeed be holding its September’s iPhone event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
The source showed the publication documentation from event logistics that confirm that Apple has indeed rented the building through September 12. Other information dug out by Hoodline confirms the rumored September 9 as the unveiling date for the new iPhones from Apple. This includes the fact that one of the streets surrounding the auditorium will be shut down from 6 p.m. on September 8th until 11:59 on September 10th. Additionally, another street will be closed from between 4 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on September 9.
Our source, who wished to remain anonymous due to the extreme privacy surrounding the event, has shown us documentation from event logistics indicating that Apple is renting the building through September 12th. This timing is consistent with what we were told by a security guard on Monday.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are reported to come with a faster A9 chip, 2GB RAM, and a drastically improved 12MP rear camera. The devices are also reported to be manufactured by using Series 7000 aluminium for better rigidity and will be available in at least one new color.
