On September 9, Apple is holding a media event where it’s expected the company will unveil the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, along with new iPads, a new Apple TV, and, now, even show off some new bands for the Apple Watch.
According to a report from 9to5Mac, based on information gleaned from unnamed sources, Apple’s media event is going to have quite a bit to talk about, as expected, and that includes some more accessories for the Cupertino-based company’s most personal device yet. Those new bands will reportedly be for the Apple Watch Sport and offer even more color options, but there’s no indication that other, more premium bands are set to be unveiled.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will reportedly keep the 16GB storage option for the base model, something that lines up with earlier reports. The contract pricing will stay the same, too, with the 16GB option going for $199.99, the 64GB model running $299.99, and, finally, the 128GB variant costing $399.99 for the iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s Plus will cost $299/16GB, $399/64GB, and $499/128GB. There’s no doubt that Apple sticking with the 16GB model for the base device is a point of contention for many, especially with indications that the new iPhones will support 4K video and higher-resolution images, not to mention the overall increase in size for apps and other media.
Finally, the report does indicate that the new iPhones will indeed be made from the same 7000 series aluminum that the Apple Watch Sport, which has already been tested (unofficially) to show that it is stronger than the current iPhones.
September 9 is going to be another exciting Apple event. Are you looking forward to the new iPhones?
