Instagram allows you to use a single account at a time so if you want to log into another account, you’ll first have to log out of the current one and enter the credentials of the account you want to sign into. igSpeedster is a new jailbreak tweak that makes it easier to manage multiple accounts on Instagram.
The tweak allows you to quickly switch between different Instagram accounts, repost images or videos from other users, quickly copy a media’s caption, view your news feed as a grid as well as tap on a link in a caption to open it in Safari.
Normally, Instagram doesn’t allow you to open links in a caption or repost media uploaded by other users, but with the tweak installed, you will have the ability to do these.
To get started, you can switch accounts by swiping up the Instagram icon on the Home screen or by long holding on the profile button within the app. You will then be presented with a list of accounts you can switch to.
If you’d like to save an image or a video, you can simply tap and hold on it or select the more options menu, presented by an ellipsis icon, and choose ‘Save Media’. The tweak then saves it to your Camera Roll. Likewise, the menu also provides options for reposting a media or copying its caption.
Lastly, the tweak also allows you to view the exact time and date that an image or a video was posted. All you have to do is to tap once on the timestamp located above a media and it will show you the exact time and date of the post.
igSpeedster comes with a free three days trial so that you can give it a try before purchasing. Once the trial ends, you’ll have to purchase the license. Interestingly, you can pay any amount to purchase the license, but it will be a recurring payment that will take place every year.
igSpeedster is quite a useful tweak that bypasses some of the restrictions imposed by Instagram. The only issue with the tweak is that it sometimes causes your device to crash and enter Safe Mode.
