The University of Oklahoma now accepts Apple Pay across campus

Apple Pay and OU
Apple Pay is already seeing a wide margin of adoption, from banks and credit unions to businesses, and now a major university in the United States is getting in on the fun, too.
Beginning this week, the University of Oklahoma will begin accepting Apple Pay across the campus, making it the first university in the United States to adopt the mobile payments option so broadly. As it stands, there are 400 different locations that Apple Pay users/UO students can pay for their goods at. That includes from bookstores and restaurants:
Starting this week, Sooners are now able to pay for items at any one of OU’s 400 point-of-service locations — everywhere from Couch Restaurants to the One University Store and the OU Bookstore. That’s right: Buying textbooks, technology and food on campus has never been easier — or more techy.
There’s a site that the university published to outline the “Six Ways Apple Pay Totally Pays Off for OU Students,” focusing on certain bullet point features, including the overall security of Apple Pay, and the fact that students won’t have to pull out their wallet and cards anymore.
If nothing else, check out the list to see a bunch of GIFs. Because GIFs.
Have you tried out Apple Pay yet?
