Apple today quietly added transit directions in Apple Maps for certain areas in Boston and Sydney. These are the first two cities that Apple has expanded its transit directions feature to, which first debuted with the release of iOS 9 last month.
With the addition of these two cities, Transit direction in Apple Maps now supports 13 different locations across the world.
Beside providing information about routes and departure times for buses, metro, and other forms of local transportation, the Transit feature in Apple Maps also provides one with a top-down view of the subway and metro stations.
