There are a bunch of tweaks on Cydia which provide a collection of widgets to be added to Reachability. One such tweak is Aspectus which has been released recently by iOS developers S1ris and JoeyJreij.
The tweak adds a beautiful music widget to Reachability enabling users to control the now-playing song from anywhere in iOS. It provides music controls such as next, previous, shuffle and play/pause buttons and allows users to adjust the volume level.
In addition, the widget displays the currently playing song’s name and artist and allows you to browse through your music library to queue the songs to be played next. To do so, you have to tap on the ‘Music’ button in the top left corner of Reachability. This displays the music library within Reachability without taking you to the Music app. You can then switch between the different music tabs and choose the songs to be added to the queue list.
The best element of the widget is its background which turns to a blurred image of the song artwork making it look more sleek.
Once you install Aspectus, there are no settings to configure. Simply invoke Reachability and you can control the now-playing song via the music widget.
To enjoy Aspectus on older devices that don’t support Reachability, you can install a tweak such as ReachAll which enables Reachability on such devices. The developers claim that Aspectus supports ReachApp as well so you can have the best of both worlds.
If you’re interested to give this tweak a try, Aspectus is available for $0.99 on Cydia’s BigBoss repo and requires iOS 8 to be installed.
