We’ve seen iPhone cases that add a second display to the back of your device, but they wouldn’t be necessary if Apple offered two displays as standard. It sounds crazy, but that’s exactly what a new concept video imagines the iPhone 8 will offer.
Created by artist Jermaine Smit, the new concept has a 2K or Quad HD display that’s “all about the pixels” on its front, as well as a low-resolution, low-power display on its back.
The second display doesn’t just provide fast access to handy information, but also provide a more power efficient alternative to the main display when you’re low on battery life.
The iPhone 8 concept also has what looks like a glowing LED bar along its side, but it’s actually a “laser keyboard,” which projects keys onto a flat surface. Another new feature is built-in wireless charging.
