Late in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 19, Apple seeded yet another developer beta for the company’s upcoming desktop operating system, OS X El Capitan.
Today, Apple seeded the seventh developer beta for OS X El Capitan, just over two weeks since Apple launched the sixth beta for developers. The betas are still coming along at a relatively quick pace. As usual, the new software is available through the Mac App Store through the Update section, and through the Apple Developer Center.
This is build number 15A263e.
Here are the Macs that support the new software:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
The updates that Apple has released for OS X El Capitan have been mainly under-the-hood improvements, so that’s likely what this release is as well.
It’s also worth noting that Apple has also re-seeded the fifth public beta, after pulling it upon its initial release.
