According to sources of 9to5Mac, Apple will be introducing a new set of animated wallpapers with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. These new wallpapers will be based on the “Motion” watch faces that are found on the Apple Watch, which includes animated brightly colored flowers, multi-colored butterflies, and a jellyfish.
On the iPhone though, the motion wallpapers will include colorful arrays of smoke and an animated fish from a koi pond. Apple introduced a bunch of new wallpapers in the latest iOS 9 beta and some of them will end up coming with an animated version of the iPhone 6s. The source, however, says that the animated wallpaper feature is still in internal testing and could be dropped at the last minute by Apple.
A blurry cam picture of the iPhone 6s Plus retail packaging box from yesterday showed the iPhone 6s Plus with a gold koi pond fish wallpaper, which adds credence to this report from 9to5Mac’s source.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhones at an event that is reportedly going to beheld at the Graham Bell Civic Auditorium on September 9th. The new iPhones are expected to come with Force Touch, feature a faster A9 chipset, 2GB RAM, and a vastly improved 12MP camera.
