The Mac App Store is a nice way to keep all of the apps on your Mac nice and tidy, as there’s a tab that keeps your past purchases primed and ready to download in the event that you might need a replacement.
But for those that might need old software reinstalled on their new Mac, Apple has seen fit to remove some options from the “Purchased” tab within the Mac App Store. As noted by MacRumors, that software includes iPhoto, OS X Mavericks, OS X Lion, and OS X Lion. Aperture has also been removed.
What’s unknown at this point is whether or not this is a permanent move on Apple’s part, or if this is a glitch that simply removed the software unexpectedly. However, what is known, is that the older pieces of software haven’t been available for at least a few days now, so it’s looking more and more likely that Apple did decide to pull them from its digital storefront.
Have you noticed any old software now becoming unavailable to download?
