Apple today announced the second wave of countries where the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go on sale from October 9.
Compared to the handful of launch countries, the second wave of the iPhone 6s launch will see the handset being available in more than 40 countries from October 9. This includes Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan
The new iPhones will also go on sale in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates from October 10, while they will be available in India, Malaysia, and Turkey on October 16.
Apple also announced that it sold a record breaking 13 million iPhones within just three days of the handset going on sale in United States, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and other countries.
At the launch event of the new iPhones,Apple had mentioned that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in more than 140 countries and across 200 carriers by the end of this year.
