Facebook experimenting with letting users send birthday video messages

Facebook birthday video message
Facebook, being the social networking giant that it is, loves to make sure you’re social. One such way to do that is by reminding you when your friends and family have a birthday.
Right now there are a couple of ways it does that, either by showing you a prominent message on the web on your home page, or by sending you a notification on mobile. Or both. But, according to a report from The Next Web, the company is looking to expand the functionality a bit. And, of course, make you more social.
Based on feedback from some users, they’re now seeing an option to send a video when it’s someone’s birthday. Right now, Facebook will let you send a message by text, or include a photo or even a link if you prefer. That will be added to your friend’s Timeline. It seems those videos appear there, too.
Right now, it appears this feature is just rolling out to some users on mobile right now (I still don’t have it), so if that’s something you’d be interested in, keep an eye out.
