Siri gets new responses for ‘Back to the Future Day’

Siri Back to the Future Day
It’s Wednesday, but more than that it’s October 21, 2015, which means it’s “Back to the Future Day.” If you’ve been anywhere near the internet since the beginning of the month, you were already fully aware of that, though.
And considering that today has been such a lauded day for weeks now, if not months for some folks, Apple has made sure that its digital personal assistant, Siri, is ready and willing to give you some quick sarcastic remarks about the special day. As first picked up by Apple Insider, Siri has several different responses if you simply say, “Happy Back to the Future Day.”
One such response, as pictured above, has Siri hoping that the Chicago Cubs can win the World Series in the year 2015, without actually mentioning the year. At the same time, it’s a pretty funny joke about the Cubs finally winning a World Series, something that hasn’t been done since 1908. And for those who haven’t kept up, the Cubs are currently one loss away from not making it to the World Series this year, too. (Game 4 is later this afternoon.)
In Back to the Future Part II, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) goes into the future and arrives on October 21, 2015. Once there, we get to see a future that’s full of bright colors, hoverboards, flying cars, and a lot of holographic signs. Of course, most of those things aren’t a reality in our 2015, but people are hard at work on things like self-tying shoes, and companies are making a mad dash to try and get hoverboards floating around.
Tell Siri “Happy Back to the Future Day” on your device and see what she says to you, and be sure to leave a comment below.
