BreadCrumbArrow: iOS 9 Jailbreak tweak lets you remove the ‘Back to App’ text from the Status bar

Back to app
‘Back to App’ shortcut in the Status bar is a new feature of iOS 9 that enables you to easily return to the original app from where you were redirected. For some including myself, it is a great functionality but others find it disturbing when it hides some information of the Status bar such as the Wifi and Cellular signal bars.
Earlier, we reviewed BreadcrumbsAway tweak which essentially allowed users to hide the shortcut button with a swipe gesture.
Now, a new jailbreak tweak known asBreadCrumbArrow effectively customizes the ‘Back to App’ button in a way that allows you to view the Cellular signal and other information along with the shortcut button. In short, it lets you enjoy the best of both worlds.

The tweak achieves this by shrinking the Back to App shortcut to a tiny arrow in the top left corner of the Status bar that allows you to go back to the original app along with displaying the other information of the Status bar such as Wi-fi and Cellular data signals, as can be seen in the screenshots above. In this way, you can view all the items of the Status bar along with taking advantage of the shortcut button.
If you find the original ‘Back to App’ button annoying then you should definitely consider checking out BreadCrumbArrow. The tweak is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repository. I personally like the fact that the app name is displayed, which is why I prefer BreadcrumbsAway that lets you hide the “Back to app” shortcut when I don’t need it.
