tvOS has hidden support for folders for the new Apple TV

Despite sharing similar code to iOS, tvOS on the new Apple TV has a very limited amount of feature set. Support for folders on the home screen is among the basic feature that the OS currently lacks.
As per developer Steve Troughton-Smith though, HeadBoard on the tvOS supports folders, with the feature just not being activated by Apple. The developer reveals in a barrage of tweets that folders on tvOS work in a similar to how they do on iOS. This means that they have a 3 x 3 layout, can be renamed easily, and sit beside regular app icons on the home screen. The developer was able to activate the folder functionality on his new Apple TV running tvOS 9.0 by using the LLDB software debugger.https://twitter.com/stroughtonsmith/status/662081887402385408?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
Despite tvOS supporting folders, I am not too optimistic about Apple enabling this functionality for end consumers because it will make interacting with the device using a remote more complex.
If and when the new Apple TV gets jailbroken, hidden functionalities like this from tvOS can be enabled using jailbreak tweaks.
Since its launch, Apple has only rolled out some server side updates to the tvOS App Store to enable Top Charts and Categories. The company had also released the first beta of tvOS 9.1 to beta testers earlier this week with some bug fixes and performance improvements.
