Right now, AT&T is hosting a promotional event that sees the purchase of one smartphone mean getting another smartphone for free.
The Big Blue network is currently promoting different devices for the limited-time deal, with Samsung’s Galaxy S6 the front-runner, but according to a new report from 9to5Mac, the iPhone 6s is actually eligible for the promo, too. AT&T doesn’t mention any iPhones in the advertisement for the deal, but the report indicates that Apple’s newest iPhone is indeed part of the promotion.
The iPhone 6s Plus seems to be included, too.
To get the deal, an AT&T subscriber will need to take advantage of AT&T Next, the carrier’s financing plan for devices, and service will need to be intact for 30 months — with the free device being made available through bill credits that kick in three months after the initial agreements are signed:
“When you buy both on AT&T Next with qual. svc. (min. $70/mo.). Free after up to $650 in 30 monthly bill credits. (Credits start within 3 bills). It’s worth noting that the deal isn’t available, or simply doesn’t work, when you try to take advantage of it through AT&T’s online store. According to the report, potential buyers will need to order the iPhone 6s over the phone, or head into an AT&T corporate retail store. The promotion ends on December 31, 2015.
