In a very surprising move, Tesla today started selling new leather cases and wallets for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. The cases and wallets have been made from leftover leather that is used by Tesla in the interiors of their cars.
The leather and wallet cases also work on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Both cases look similar to other similar offerings from other accessory makers, except for being made from automotive grade Nappa grain leather, featuring the Tesla logo and being able to block RFID signs. The wallet case also features 3 pockets that can can fit a total of 6 cards.
While the leather case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s is available for $45, the wallet case has been priced at $50. The leather wallet case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s Plus is curently listed as being out of stock though.
Tesla previously sold a Bethesda iPad sleeve and a Rockford sleeve for the iPhone 5s through its Tesla Gear store. While the cases don’t really offer anything unique beside RFID signal blocking, they do carry the Tesla logo which can be a big deal for the fanboys of the company.
Will you be buying Tesla’s case for your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus?
