Amazon has had a cloud storage option for quite some time, and now the company has made it a bit easier for users to manage their cloud collection right from their iPhone or iPad.
On July 2, Amazon officially launched its Cloud Drive app for the iPhone and iPad as a free option for those that want to get their file management on. With the Cloud Drive app, Amazon cloud service users will be able to manage their cloud-based content, from files, other documents, photos, videos and music. For much of the content stored there, Amazon has offered other apps, including its Cloud Drive Photos and Prime Music, which allowed access to photos and music from the cloud, but with the Cloud Drive app there’s a bit more to work with.
The Cloud Drive app will let you stream music, though, as well as view photos and watch the videos a user has stored in the cloud. The app itself is a free download, but there is a subscription fee to access the cloud services. For $12/year the user gets unlimited photo storage, while $59.99 per year nets the user unlimited storage for all of their documents, music and videos.
