At the beginning of June, a report surfaced that CBS would be rolling out a Showtime standalone streaming service, and it didn’t take long before that was officially confirmed.
Now, the new service, which enables viewers of Showtime content to view that content without the need of a cable subscription, is now available for Apple TV owners. The service costs $11 per month, and that subscription nets the viewer access to Showtime’s content, including original series, movies, documentaries and more.
There’s a 30-day free trial to get things started, for those that want to try it out before actually handing over any money.
The Showtime streaming app is available now exclusively for Apple TV, but the iOS app should be rolling out in the near future. When Showtime officially announced the service they also confirmed that the app would be coming to other platforms at some point in the future, and that’s still the plan
