Apple looking to redesign third-party accessories with Apple-designed boxes

Apple third-party packaging
The Apple retail experience, both online and in physical retail stores, is controlled by the company with the logo on the front. That may extend to packaging for third-party accessories, too.
According to a report published recently by 9to5Mac, along with photos of the alleged new Apple-designed packaging, Apple will begin phasing in its own boxes with third-party accessories tucked into them. The report indicates that the move is meant as a larger revamp in its selection of third-party accessories, and whittling down the options to include those that are sold within Apple co-designed boxes, as seen above. Apparently Apple has been working for six months with some companies to make this new initiative possible.
The original report cites an internal memo that was recently sent out to Apple Stores, which indicates that third-party accessories from Logitech, Mophie, Incase, Tech21, Sena and Life Proof will be sold within the new boxes. The new boxes will be made from higher-quality materials, feature a cleaner font, be mostly white like Apple’s own first-party boxes, and boast new photography of the products on them.
These changes are reportedly rolling out beginning next week with the aforementioned companies included out of the gate. However, Apple is said to be working with more companies to get them to jump on board the new box strategy.
