Earlier on July 22, Apple released the second public beta for iOS 9. Now, hot on the heels of that release, desktop public beta testers have something to look forward to as well.
Apple has officially seeded the second public beta for OS X El Capitan. This release comes just under two weeks after Apple seeded the first public beta of the upcoming desktop software to testers. As is the case with the iOS 9 beta for developers and public testers, the second public beta for OS X El Capitan is similar to the fourth beta release for developers (which was released yesterday), meaning the features will be the same across both releases.
For those running the first public beta on their machines, the update is available through the Mac App Store, and it should be ready to download and install now.
Apple’s OS X El Capitan is expected to launch publicly this fall.
Are you trying out the public beta of OS X El Capitan?
