WeatherPeek is an amazing jailbreak tweak that allows you to take a quick look at the weather highlights directly from the Lock screen, Home screen or from Spotlight.
The tweak lets you view the current weather information from the Home screen by swiping the first page to the left and holding. Doing so doesn’t reveal the entire page but only a portion of the weather information that you can peek at. Similarly, you can view the weather highlights directly from Spotlight or from the Lock screen. The clock on the Lock screen will be replaced with the current temperature along with a weather forecast at different times of the day.
Once you install WeatherPeek, you’ll be automatically taken to the Spotlight where you’ll view a detailed walkthrough of how to set up the tweak. The in-depth guide will allow you to select your current location, choose the temperature unit and much more. What’s cool about selecting your location is that you don’t need to enter the Weather ID or enable Location Services. All that you’re required to do is to tap on your city in the map that is displayed.
The tweak also comes with additional settings available via its separate preferences pane in Settings. From there, you can choose between the Normal and Minimal look of the weather information on the Lock screen, enable or disable WeatherPeek for the Lock screen, Home screen or the Spotlight, switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit and much more.
WeatherPeek features a sleek design and the best part is the ability to peek at the weather information by swiping the Home screen to the left. It’s convenient and easy to use setup process is what I loved most about the tweak.
If you’re in to give this tweak a try, WeatherPeek is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $1.99. Let us know what you think of WeatherPeek in the comments below.
